Hot Hot Hot..

Hot Hot Hot! Recently, the weather has been so hot. I'm sweating even when i'm sleeping, how worse can this can. I'm not an 'air-con' person because i would die from flu if i were to sleep throughout air-conditioning.

Got this from NEA (National Environment Agency) website.

[1-29 April]
More than 80% of Singapore experienced above average rainfall in the month of April 2008. The highest rainfall of 415 mm to 485 mm (140% to 180% above average) fell over central Singapore around Bishan and Toa Payoh. The eastern end of Singapore including Changi received the lowest rainfall of 85 mm to 140 mm (20% to 50% below average). The first half of the month was particularly wet; contributing to much of the rain collected whilst the second half saw a sharp change to generally drier and hotter weather condition.

The average temperature for the second half of April 2008 (including days and nights) was 28.3 degrees Celsius, a degree higher than the temperature normally experienced in April. On few occasions, the temperatures were kept above 28 degrees Celsius almost throughout the night by prevailing light winds blowing from the surrounding sea, which was warmer than land at night.

[Weather Outlook for 1-15 May]
The first fortnight of May 2008 should see a continuation the current weather pattern of alternating wet and dry periods. We still expect a few hot days with higher than average daily temperatures. The winds over Singapore are mostly light and blowing from the Southeast or Southwest. For most places, rainfall is likely to be lower than average.

For the period, we can expect short-duration thundery showers to occur mainly in the late morning and afternoon on 4 to 5 days. In addition, widespread showers with gusty winds in the predawn hours and early morning are also likely on 2 to 3 days.

As consecutive dry days are common in the region during this period, slightly hazy condition may also be expected on a few days.

So guys, get ready for this hot weather, meanwhile keep yourself cool. Stored up your cold drinks, herbal tea and ice creams!!

Chelsea victory over Newcastle certainly didn't help in keeping myself cool. It's now down to this Sunday to see who's going to reign the Champions of English Premier League!
