Food-Filling @ Food Expo

I was damn shagged after guard duty this morning. I reckon i need my sleep at night, and therefore require to replenish in the day as well. Past few nights, i wasn't sleeping well. Thursday i totally didn't sleep a single hour at all, because i was busy soaking myself in Man Utd's glory. After the match, i went back home and barely 15 mins, i'm out again. Yesterday was my guard duty, i thought i could catch up some sleep which i've been missing, BUT THEN, i couldn't sleep. It was so hot inside the bunk, humid as well. I couldn't stand it. Therefore, i missed the chance of having some quality sleep.

I'm so shagged that i dropped dead the moment i reach home after shower. Sadly, my body forced me to cancel out MR night cycling outing. I desperately need that night sleep, i can't imagine not sleeping again and yet, spending one whole day out tomorrow. Gosh, i'll be a zombie by then.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I and Don went to Food Expo. We had been wanting to go since 'lots of Food Expos' ago, but never had the chance. Finally, the chance is here. And i'm glad we did anyway. And we will continue for the next few Food Expo right Don?

Anyway, there's sooo many people there. Perhaps it's not just because of the Food Expo but also because of the Robinsons Sales and also Adidas warehouse sales as well.

And so, we kick off our food feasting, after grumbling how hungry we are when we are on our way there. We started off with Pork Bun. It was tasty but certainly not as tasty as the one at the Westlake outlet whereby there's a queue there. Nevertheless, 1 dollar for that as compared to 2.2 bucks for the Westlake's....worth it. I'm giving a rating for every of the food shown on the pictures.

Pork Bun - 4/5

We got thirsty not long after, or rather, just after our first food. We reckon we will be needing lots of drinks and in order to eat and try as much food as we can without getting ourselves full so fast, we deployed the 'one food shared between us' method.

Grass Jelly Drink - 2.5/5

At last, we started our free sampling of food. Sampling of food are everywhere. Perhaps this is how they got people buying their products. However, i thought some food sampling are pathetically tiny. I was wondering, how to even taste whether the product you are selling is good when you just are giving a tiny portion for sampling. Oh Crap!

MeatBall (Mushroom Seafood / Original) - 4/5

Chocolate Chip Cereal with Koko Crunch - 2.5/5

Apart from food, there's also some weird looking 'food' walking around. Whenever i saw this at events like this, instead of either taking picture or shaking hands with them, i feel like pouncing my body against them or perhaps play some pranks on them. One slap on their behind would be funny. Imagine them turning around and not even knowing who hit them..Wahaa...alright, i'll stop...i know i'm crazy.

The Walking Gardenia Man

Seaweed - 4.5/5
Clear Noodle Soup - 3.5
F&N Mango Juice - 5/5
Laksa - 2.5/5
Toast bread with XO Sauce - 1.5/5
Chocolate with Pinapple filling - 2/5
Fish Luncheon - 1/5
On our way to start our feast, both me and Donna chanced upon this store which sell chicken rice @ 1 dollar. We both knew this would be in our stomach in a matter of time. Althought there's a queue, we went ahead. We assume it would be tasty and indeed, it was. What's even better is that all the proceeds they got from selling this chicken rice would go to the fund used for SiChuan earthquake victims. Bravo to their spirits.

Chicken Rice @ $1 - 5/5
Char Siew Chicken - 4.5/5
I realised that some stores there are just promoting their products, some using samples to promote whereas some simply just sell their products to gain the attention and crowd. DODO did just the latter. They sell 10 variety of their products and in the end, we brought all 10 at 3 bucks. Worth it..

Assorted DODO products - 4/5
Not long after, we realise we were very thirsty and we just keep looking for drinks and buying any we could find and also sampling them. Slurp..

Chocolate Malt Drink - 2/5
Barley - 4.5/5
Mr Bean Soya Milk - 3.5/5
We decided to take a break after Donna had too much in his stomach. We went to the Adidas warehouse Sales and also the Robinson Sales.
@ Robinson sales, we couldn't find what i wanted as well - speghatti, dress, handbag and most importantly, my wallet. I couldn't stand my current wallet as it stains my cards. But couldn't find anything that catches my attention. Perhaps there are just too many to choose from. We went to the toy section shortly and Don realised his passion for Guitar is back.
He's still a Rocker!!
We went back to Food Expo after a while. We had intended to complete walking and whole of Food Expo. By then, the crowd was insanely huge. Squeezing and pushing are commonly done.
Cosfish SharksFin Soup - 5/5
CodFish Otah - 3.5/5
Fried Mid Joint - 3/5
Ice Snow Jelly Drink - 2.5/5

Spicy Fishball, Tofu - 1.5/5

BBQ Squid - 0/5
BBQ Pork - 3.5/5
Braised Duck Wing - 4.5/5
White Crysanthemum and Peppermint Green Tea - 4/5

Australian Honey Drink - 1/5
Green Tea Soya Milk - 0/5
Hong Kong Noodles - 4.5/5
UNI Soya Milk (Warm) - 0/5
Osmanthus Green Tea - 5/5
Fried Durian Friiters - ??? (To Be Filled Up By Don)
We did brought something back as well. We would let ourselves down if we didn't. We brought some a set package of the Hong Kong noodles which includes cup noodles, ready made noodles etc, and of course, some sweet and salty Tau Sa Piah. Yummy.
We then decided to wrapped up this Food Expo with a dessert - ice cream!

Ice Cream - 3.5/5

If there's any food expo in future, we're sure to be back...the experience is certainly great...
