2 Years and Counting...

It's our 2nd year and we made special plans. We were famished come mid afternoon and decided to leave for town much earlier, at the same time, to avoid dinner-time crowd. Our stomach satisfying venue - Sakae Teppanyaki @ Cineleisure.

The type of dining experience they provide is certainly much more classier than Sakae Sushi restaurant. It's somewhat high class i suppose. Had wanted to ordered the Lobster set meal but we didn't because it doesn't suit to our taste. Therefore, it's two seafood set for us.

Their cutlery is really nice, all 'breakable'. This special saucer had 4 ingredients - light soya sauce, diced spinach, diced garlic and lastly chilli powder. We didn't use any of them. I'll tell you why later. Read on..

Their special saucer

And so, the chef started cooking. It took him minutes to get into the cooking state as i saw him walking around to and fro umpteen times. First up, he displayed his cooking skills on my Unagi Fried Rice. By then, they had displayed all the tantalizing ingredient and main dishes around us and we were eagered to eat. Drooling already....

Waiting.....

Getting Ready

The ingredients

Our first dish is salad. I yucked at the first sight because of the tomato. The rawness of the vegetable was ok not a not so veggie lover but it's the tomato sauce that turned me off. Same for Dear, she didn't not managed to complete this difficult mission. Not even to mentioned half done.

The yucky salad

Miso soup was next. Again, i'm not for it. I hate the taste of miso soup, that's why i can never marry a Japanese because i'll die if i do. Can't imagine having miso soup every meal, just like how's there's Tom Yam soup every meal if your wife is a Thai. Gosh.....But then again, Dearie loves it, but she claimed it's salty.

After minutes of waiting, nothing else came. Me and dearie just kept waiting until we were really famished. However, i was delighted that mine would be the first. I've changed my rice to Unagi Fried Rice whereas Dear's was plain rice. Yummy..

Nice Cutlery with nothing on it

Finally, our rice came. Mine colourful and tasty whereas Dear had to stick with her plain rice. Luckily, i was good to share with her... I think they were quite particular about the presentation of the food as well.

Soon, all the main dishes were out. The prawns, bamboo clams, cuttlefish and teriyaki chicken. Now i'll go on to explain why those ingredient in the saucer were not used. All because their main dishes were very salty and not only that but full of garlic. Every bite, you bound to chew onto the garlic. It would have been perfect if it's slightly less salty, but i guess most Japanese had salty tongue, perhaps that's why.

Dear also ordered a side dish - Chawanmushi. It was cool the way they had cooked it and presented it. They pour the mixture into a onion cut and hollow in the middle. They let it steamed and turned into semi solid state. There they served it to Dear. It was small, really small. Dear loves it whereas i find it tasteless, the only tasteless food after the yucky salad.

Chawanmushi

We had our last dish - stir fried veggie. It certainly taste much better that the salad.

Veggies

Seriously, the food were so salty that we had to gulp our water down our throat. If i were to have this everyday, my kidney would fail...for sure.

We finished up every single thing except for the salad of course and my miso soup.

Not So Satisfying Meal

Dear gave me a Casio watch. I chose it and she bought it for me. I love it very much.

After much shopping, we went to Swesens. This was a special place to us of course. Ordered a mint ice cream and got the fries @ a special price because of the sundae i ordered.

After much persuasion, she finally decided to help me wear the watch. She took quite some time before she figured out how to put it on for me. Gosh..

Soon, the fries came and we had to rush abit because we were almost late for our movie.

Yummy fries..

We caught a movie which we have been waiting for - Made of Honour. A really funny show. I thought the show was quite long, it wasn't draggy most importantly. Worth the money i would say.

It's funny how the guy went all out to get the girl he loves, lots of funny scenes and touching parts as well. Highly recommended.

For Tom (Patrick Dempsey), life is good: hes sexy, successful, has great luck with the ladies, and knows he can always rely on Hannah (Michelle Monaghan), his delightful best friend and the one constant in his life. Its the perfect setup until Hannah goes overseas to Scotland on a six-week business trip and Tom is stunned to realize how empty his life is without her. He resolves that when she gets back, hell ask Hannah to marry him but is floored when he learns that she has become engaged to a handsome and wealthy Scotsman and plans to move overseas. When Hannah asks Tom to be her maid of honor, he reluctantly agrees to fill the role but only so he can attempt to woo Hannah and stop the wedding before its too late.

A happy day ended just like that.....hope you enjoy yourself as much as i do...=)
