Genting Trip (Belated)

Today post are way too belated. I realised i haven't post it up. It must have slipped off my mind. Anyway, it's the first time i'm leaving town without Dear, for cool 3 days. My relatives got 3 free rooms after that winning streaks in the casino there, how cool...Total around 15-18 of us.

Set off from my house in the morning. Can't imagine i have to wake up so early to travel again. Applied for international roaming as well, so that i can at least be contactable, for her. 6 hours trip there, tired and tried to sleep, but couldn't. The kids on my relatives side were far too noisy. Mp3 player and PSP were my only companion on my trip there..

Reached Genting at around 11 plus. At last, i thought.

It's still early and we can't check in. So we thought it would be good if we could leave our lugguage and bags with the counter and had our lunch first. Below was the pathetic sight when i got to the lobby. I felt as thought it like a bag wholesale. Crap...we even had to queue to 'deposit' our bags and lugguages.

A messy scene of bags and lugguages
Our first meal - Mary Brown (if i remember correctly). I've been here once before and i thought i've forgotton its taste. KFC does bore me on the first attempt. They had so much variety on their menu. They have nasi lemak, chicken porridge, fried chicken, whipped potato and lots more. I ordered this 2 piece chicken meal, somehow similar to that of KFC's but let me tell you, theirs taste better.

Bro has been searching for Genting's good food before we departed for Genting and he realised that the buffet and chicken rice from Genting Hotel had received good comments and feedback and we thought we should really give it a try. We did went there but it was meal time yet. We decided to head back First World before returning back to Genting Hotel for a sumptous meal but in the end we didn't. I seriously can't remember why we didn't.
Lots of station were close, even their curly wirly roller coaster is under maintainence. Moreover, it's a kids thing to me now, so i rather i missed it.

At that very first night, we watched a show called Dreamz. It's a magic show. Since i had this interests in magic, this show was especially eye-catching to me. 3 beasts made their appearances - a Tiger, a white Lion and a white Tiger. Cool. I was sitting in the front row. They really look huge when you are sitting up close.
Two magicians were mainly performing, with stunts from aerobics group. It was nice, plus the performance of music from those musicians.

Arcade's top 10 list
The above picture was cool. This arcade even had their very own top 10 list and favourites.
I tried their debut speciality - curry chicken noodle. Even the fussy dad had to agreed with me that it's really good. Those who's going there in near future, you should try it.

Nothing much changed for Genting. Everything looked the same as how it was one year plus ago when i visited this very place. This trip was fun, perhaps all because i spent most of the trip alone. Shopping alone, eat alone and almost watched a movie alone. I caught Spiderwick Chronicles with Bro in the end. Their tickets cost 10RM. Sooo cheap, yet Singapore's cinema theaters cost 10 bucks? Crap....Same movie, same kind of seats...just different country.

This monkey looks the same as the one from my camp

On my way home, it was a super luxurious 15 seater coach that fetch us. There were plenty of leg room and so comfortable. Their chair is automated with remote controlled. You can literally lie down without interfering with anyone sitting beside or around you. And then, it was home sweet home.
