Singapore Most Wanted Man

The news came shocking. I didn't expect something would happen, given how secured Singapore has always been, even though news of terrorism did shake Singapore at some point of time years ago.

I went casually with curosity to Channel News Asia website and read this article.
Bravo to Bukit Panjang MP, no doubt why my parents voted for him. He questioned during the parliament why does it take so long for the public to know what had happened and also, why can't the public be involved.

Seriously, Singapore is large enough for a person to go missing, let alone finding a suspect with unclean history and intent to escape be found easily without the help of the whole nation. Where is the spirit of Total Defence that's being talked about so often, especially when Total Defence Day has just pass a week plus ago.

Initially, only Special Operations Command units, Gurkahs and police officers are being activated, then, out of the sudden, Guards Military Units and Recce units from Singapore Armed Forces are being activated as well. Thousands were sent to hunt this limping man down but 30 hours has passed and it seems no fruit has been beared.

Perhaps, he has already escaped Singapore and flee to other country. It would be a great damn shame if the same incident which happened few years back occured again. Indonesia had to deport him back to Singapore after he was being caught on the run in Indonesia.

A limping suspect, unarmed but with great connections outside the world is certainly capable of anything. I can't help but worry about the holidays plans being planned months ahead from now...i'm sure as long as one day he wasn't caught, it's not a safe country. But the even more worrying thing would be whether is he still in Singapore or not...Sadly...we have no clue at all..

Army camps throughout Singapore are on a high security level now. That includes my camp as well. Guard duty now is going to be tough one....gosh....

Eat Healthy

Do you know Singaporeans are eating saltier and saltier? Every cuisine ranging from Indian to Malay to Chinese cuisine, the salt / sodium intake is getting higher and higher. Health Promotion Board and certain hawkers see this arising issue and therefore, do something about it.

In collaboration of the two, you can now find hawkers with a special food pyramid logo which is red in colour. This spells that the hawker has achieved excellence in cleanliness and hygiene and also the provision of healthier food. They might display the certificate as a proof issued by the Health Promotion Board as well.

Below are the list of participating hawkers outlets: (so if you happen to be around the vicinity, try popping by to eat something healtheir)

Nice Weekend

Had Swensens breakfast on Saturday @ Park Hotel. I just want to say how much difference there is as compared to the breakfast served @ Cafe Cartel. I can still remember the breakfast in had @ Cafe Cartel. Though service was poor, the food left me a memorable experience. I kept wanting to go back there for breakfast. The more i thought of that Swesens breakfast i had on Saturday, the more i wanted to go back to Cafe Cartel for their more decent breakfast.

I had a all-in-one american breakfast @ Swesens. Priced @ 12 bucks, the only nice food on the plate would perhaps be only the frech toast, other than that, every taste so weird. It's not even worth the money.

At last, i got my Fossil watch working again. While waiting for my watch to get it working again, i went browsing around the shop. I saw sooo many nice watches and i just feel like owning all of them. But one of it would have already cost me my whole month pay, if not, MORE.

Had a great primary school gathering. Haven't met them for a long time, some 4 years, and some, near a decade. Couldn't regconise some of them even and of course, vice versa. Something i'm definitely proud of, i'm no longer the shortest among. I can still remember how i was being teased the shortest when i was in primary school. But right now, not anymore.

Before going this gathering, i had fears that i might not have much to talk with them as i haven't been contacting with them. But the feeling of being able to see your old old friends again really is a nice experience and feeling. We ate, chatted and i suppose it's all about know how has everyone been doing. A little games and some jokes really break all the ice between us.

I do hope i can meet them more often again and hopefully it's a like a half a decade thing for us to have a small little gathering...

Went T3 with Dearie today. Purpose of being there is to view the amazing architecture of it. My love for architecture is still there which i can't believe it myself either. I was amazed at the intensive use of glass, the sleek facade and also the reflective metal panels used as ceiling. Suddenly, both my interest, architecture and tourism come together. It's like the architecture is there for the tourism.

I missed Popeye's Chicken again and I'm SAD, really really sad. Dear said she will bring back to Changi Airport again so that i can finally satisfy by poor mouth and tummy...

Watched L:Changed The World @ last. A very nice movie. At first, my friend was talling my how funny this movie was and i couldn't believe given the plot which i can remember of Death Note 1 & 2. Firstly, the boy is already a funnyboy. Ha...he looks so cute. Next is of course the weird nature of L, not forgetting the crepe van driven by the FBI officer, another dumbball.

Give this movie a rating of 4.5/5. Highly recommended...

Do You Know (2)

I've once again here to share some of the facts about what i've learnt on and off lesson. Some amazing, some shocking and some interesting.

- StarBucks
How many of you actually drinks Starbucks Coffee and went gaga over it. It's so nice and tasty (i'm not sure if this is the appropriate word to use for coffee or not because i'm not a coffee drinker) that i've heard of how coffee lovers sing praises of it times and times again. However, ever wonder what makes their coffee beans so special as compared to others?

Starbucks doesn't buy their coffeebeans from wholesaler but instead, they purchase the whole area which is said to be a mountain that produces coffeebeans. Which means, whatever the amount of coffeebeans this mountain produces, it all goes to the 15 thousands outlets of Starbucks worldwide. And it's because of this that no other compeitors is able to compete against them, which is the world largest coffeehouse company in the world.

- Brokers for food?
You thought that there's only brokers for stocks? Well, there's actually brokers for anything and everything else. There's brokers for clothes, food, beverages, shoes, electronics even...you might be wondering what these brokers does. Take food for example, you expect NTUC who carries about 800 items in their supermarket to have a department who does the 'buying and scouting' of those 800 items? Large supermarkets like NTUC actually have a group of appointed brokers who scout for food from all over the world, mainly from South East Asia. The brokers is a middleman between farmers/producers etc and NTUC itself, and they simply does nothing but scout for those items checklisted by NTUC itself. And mind you, they earn big bucks...

- Abalone
Abalone is commonly found in certain specific parts of the world. It's considered a delicacy in most parts of the world. And in Singapore, there's actually a monopoly for it. New Moon has been dominant for a long time and are still a leader in this market. Wonder what's their success?

It's actually only right that abalone are being sold so expensively. Do you know abalone have to be kept 12 months after they are being caught before they can actually be cooked and serve so called freshly? If not, the abalone that you eat will have texture as hard as a rock. New Moon strategy is that they speculate the amount they will need throughly from what they have planned for the 12 months ahead. They did survey constantly to keep up with the current market area. From there, they pick up and estimate the amount they roughly need. Take for example if they need 15,00 cans, they will purchase that area used to harvest the abelone and after harvesting, they will keep the abalone for 12 months before they start selling.

- Grade Egg
Ever know why the eggs sold @ YaKun is much more expensive than those sold @ the coffeeshop? This is because the eggs used by YaKun of a grade A. There's four different grade of eggs in Singapore's market - namely, grade AA, A, B and C. Grade AA are the best eggs. To differentiate the grade of the egges, simple. Crack the eggs open, if the egg yolk in intact and still one whole, it's probably of Grade AA or A, if the eggs you crack, the egg yolk will also 'leaked' out and mix into the egg white, it's probably of Grade B or C...

- Dangers of Margarine
Which is healtier? Margarine or butteR? Many would think that it's the first one which in fact is the truth. Margarine are first being introduced in Singapore market back in the early ninities..Then, people realise the 'unhealthiness' of butter and some company see the chance to produce margarine to replace butter.

Margarine does contain less fats, be it saturated or trans fat and also cholestrol because margarine is being chemically modified and treated. This process allows the taste of margarine to be of a mild similarity to that of a butter while at the same time, keeping the nutrition level a more healthier choice as compared to butter. However, this process has its hidden dangers.

A normal human being body will not be able to digest this margarine well because of the process mentioned above, and when this happen, the digestive juice in our intestine and stomach will therefore, so called 'digest' the organs instead of the margarine. This leads to the organs producing a form of liquid which can cause liver, kidney and other problems. If you notice if you take too much margarine, you can find some of them even in your poo. So perhaps, it's better to use Kaya instead for your bread. Haa...

BangKok in June

I regretted missing the previous promotion offered. Totally regretted it...Everybody, including me, Dear, Shu Xia....because she was the particular being so vexed up in coordinating with everybody. Perhaps the delay played some part in it but then again, we just couldn't help it.

We watched the seconds tickling away, thinking that there might be a much better promotion with dates just as appropriate as how and what we wanted. But we were so wrong. We regretted and till now, we are still in regret obviously because we aren't able to go together anymore. Dear and i were still anticipating going in a huge group, same for me as well, especially after how i read on how such a big company of them enjoyed themsleves over @ Phuket the other time.

But like what Shu Xia said, there's plenty of chances in future. Anyway, it brought me back to think how much i enjoyed my little company with Dear when just the both of us went vacation @ Malaysia that time and i'm expecting that sort of relaxing few days with Dearie once again. I can see myself carrying bags and bags of stuff when i landed on Thailand in June.

Well, we hooked ourselves on TigerAirways promotion, following Shu Xia footsteps. Not that bad, perhaps a good deal as well. But the way my friend commented on how the seats are like for TigerAirways, i kind of got turned off. But to each its own, what's bad to him might not be that bad to us, i thought.

Left the hotels to crack our brains on..i was hoping to get some good deals. I'm goign read more on Bangkok before actually selecting our hotel...What's a holiday without proper planning. I wouldn't want to go there, getting disappointed for all the wrong reasons...

TOTO draw is out, i didn't win anything. Unlike last year whereby i won 4 numbers, winning 100++ bucks..this year was far from last year. I've got alot more sets of numbers, near to 100 sets of numbers to be exact, but none came close to even touch 4 numbers. Perhaps this isn't my year. This year Lunar New Year was sent off in this manner..haa...3 people got richer by alot and i supposed they must be super duper happy now.

I'm officially hooked on WahJong, a popular Mahjong game proudly brought to the public by Viwawa.com. They even have games like Daidee as well. I must say this is a very good game to build your skills in Mahjong and Daidee, most importantly, you get to play it with your friends without the hassle of fixing a date to meet up, and best of all, it's FREE!!

Come join me guys and register!!!

NA

The V Day surprise was sweet. I would never have expected it at all, seriously, not at all. I never even thought such thing would ever happen, but then my day or rather week seem brighter than before, i felt ever loved than before...here you go, my surprise of the week...

I've always like Baby Tazmanian. Not the adult version but the baby version. From those cartoons, they always potray him as cute, mischievious and all those actions just made him look so funny, that's when i 'fell' in love with him when i was younger. Perhaps some may say a guy @ 23 still fancy such stuff...but to me, it's just 'still' loving my childhood...

Baby Taz 1

Baby Taz 2

First time i'm receiving a rose. I always thought it's a guy-girl thing until i received it, i changed my thinking. Afterall, the feeling was sweet and i suppose that's what that counts...

Her actions melted my heart, but mine didn't fare badly either. She too didn't expect my appearance @ her doorstep at late late hours and when she doesn't, i can still recall the number of white teeth she showed. She will smiling from grin to grin...even though what received was not flower but a cuddling pooh bear...With all that, Happy Valentine Day to Dearie..

We so called celebrated or rather, i wouldn't call celebrate but perhaps re-express our love for each other yesterday. Thanks to Shu Xia, i made a special reservation @ Courtyard @ Rendevous Hotel. Dinner was quiet and nice. Limited variety of food but i suppose we couldn't complain much especially when we are going there on a special promo. Just some local fare such as Otah, Chic Wings, StingRay, Sausages, BurBur Cha Cha, Cheng Ting and others...but what i really love is the Lobster, as so called by them...they grill in live for guests and i simply enjoyed that, but too bad, we didn't get to indulge more of it due to time constraint because we were rushing for our movie session..

We watched P.S I Love You. A Hiliary Swank and Gerard Butler movie. Never expected Gerard Butlet to star in this movie especially after his previous movie i've watched (3oo). The image he potrayed here is so different from the vicious and heroic one which he starred in 300.

I'm on for this movie more because of the plot. This movies tells a story about how a lady became a widow unexpectedly upon the death of her husband. After weeks of her death on the 30th birthday, she received a letter and then on, she received series of lettes instructing her to perform various requests and so, she began her 'adventure' that her dead husband has planned for her, helping her discover who she is without him and reminding her that he will love her always with that 'P.S I Love You'.

A rather touching show with funny scenes. I really feel for the widow initially and did get my feelings evoked. A rather nice show suitable for couples i suppose.

Had wanted to go for pubbing session like how i always wanted and love to with Dearie, but again, we didn't. I chose to head back home for some early rest for Dear whereas giving myself the chance to watch Man Utd thrash Arsenal which they really did. I've enjoyed myself totally yesterday and received my last few presents from Dear which i really loved....with all that, i hope it has been the same for her and just want to tell you Dearie, I Love You..

My Bad Experience

The nightmare starts right after the sunset. I'm certainly not in the best state of health, with moments of nauseousness haunting me every now and then. I didn't think of about it then.

Specially brought food for Dearie because she was more sick than me @ that point of time. I didn't eat much of what i've brought for her because the nauseousness is still there. Little did i know that this nauseousness is going to torture me for the rest of the night.

Nightmare starts the moment i reach home, i went toilet countless times. I knew something was wrong. That's not what i'm afraid of. I intended to sleep when it's getting late but i didn't and i certainly regretted it now. I shivered out of the sudden only to find out that i'm having fever and temperature is rising high.

I popped two Paracetamol, thinking that come morning, i'll be as fine as any other healthy human being. This day, i slept with my fan offed, with my thick clothes on and with blanket covered, but still i was shivering....Those calls i made to her went all unanswered. Out of the sudden, it's feels like the very first time when the same incident happened.

Woke up in the morning to find out that i'm even hotter. My whole body is so hot that when i left my bed and i touched the bed with the back of my palm, it's hot, literally hot. Thinking that there's Guard Duty today, i panicked. I tried looking for replacement but it's too early and i couldn't find any replacement with phone calls all went unanswered. It's 6am in the morning.

Just when i was about to brave myself through to work, a new guy from the office called me, willing to do my duty for me in exchange for another duty of his. Thankfully. Went to the doctor and was dignosed with bacteria infection. Awarded with only 1 day MC.

This 1 day MC is certainly not enough, till now, i'm still having fever even though my stomach's feeling much better.I guess i'll have to see doctor again...oh man....i feel like dying..

Chinese New Year II

New Year Eve

Had guard duty on this fateful day. Missed the reunion lunch my camp organised but i'm glad i did anyway. Heard the food sucks and worse of all, imagine fighting over food with hundreds of people, i rather spend my peaceful day away in the guard room watching some VCD away.

I did managed to have reunion dinner with my family this year. I have to say, i'm lucky not to kenna guard duty on the later part of Chinese New Year eve. Sadly, again this year Dearie didn't eat with me. Hopefully my reunion dinner will include her as well....

Steamboat this year plus BBQ. I can't help but start to admit the fact that i'm getting sick and tired of steamboat. Every year, the's food the same - fishball, abalone, beancurd, fishcake etc etc..just that this year, we BBQ as well, so isn't that bad afterall.

Chinese New Year Day 1

Gong Xi Fa Cai! Day 1 is finally here. Chinese New Year is still one of my favourite holidays but it's no longer like how i look forward to when i was a kid, whereby Chinese New Year is like a super big occasion whereby i would be so happy the moment it comes...

Why is it the trend among every adults now. All my cousins, relatives and friends seem to think that the older they grow, the least interest they have for this holiday.

Anyway, had a great day. Went to Bai Nian @ Dearie house. Didn't stayed there for long. After that, we went back to my house before the real atmosphere actually begins @ my cousin's house. It's seem so weird seeing them because we seldom meet up. It has become more like a once in a year thing. Some of them changed alot, some still the same..One year isn't short, but it isn't long as well...

As usual, we won't miss out on outing on the first day of New Year. Movies is the only place we would go together and i don't know why, movie on that very day of the year is always memorable to be, perhaps because of the 'once in a year' company. 'Kung Fu Dunk' was the movie. Not that bad a movie but perhaps abit too much whereby some of the scenes went too unrealistic.

Chinese New Year Day 2

Woke up from a short sleep and there i went, first time visiting Dearie's side. Missed it last year because of the damn guard duty. I've look forward to this visit because Dear has been talking so much about her auntie's curry which make me can't wait to spoon it into my mouth. Not only that but because i'm enjoying her cousins company as well. No prizes from guessing why because my dear like being with her cousin so much that even a blind can see it..

Day 2 was the day whereby i've enjoyed myself totally, because i finally gambled. It's been a long time since i last shuffling poker cards and distributing it like some professional. I hasn't gambled for a long long time and when i finally managed to get my hands on it, it's winning all the way. Somehow when i'm winning, i just feel like playing and continuing. Whereas for Dear, it's just bad luck for her...It's not difficult to know why gambling is addictive. Once you win, you want to win more, once you lost, you want to win back what you've lost...Thankfully, i'm a guy who can afford to lose and also control...but somehow, i lost all my winnings by towards the end and @ the last game, i showhand all my winnings and lost. So it's a no loss or win for that day but fun instead...

Went for another movie which sucks big time - Ah Long Pte Ltd. I seriously have no idea why Jack Neo style couldn't change. His movies always have actors/actress singing and oh boy, they sucks in singing. It's very lame in how he tired to potray the image of loansharks in Singapore. I told myself, that's going to be the last time i'm going to PAY to watch this movies. It's so bad to me that i feel his movie ruin the acting skills or Fann Wong...oh gosh, only Mark Lee can act in such movies because i feel he's just as lame...

Chinese New Year Day 3

My cousin came. Ever since my cousin, Jia Qi met Dearie, she seem to like her very much. So much so that she asked her to teach her tuition and she just enjoy her company. It's cute to see how my cousin reacted when she sees my Dear. Haaa, Dear must be floating all over after hearing all the praises she had for her...

So my cousin made this special request for my Dear to come my house so that she could see her..Haa...but i suppose she knew she made a wrong choice, because in the end, she was bored and ended up going home...

I'm glad i didn't missed my dad's pig stomach soup this year. It's a must eat dish of the Chinese New Year from my house. It's so nice that each year Chinese New Year, i would look forward to it...

Celebrated Gavian's birthday on this very day as well...It's been a long time since we've last gathered. I suppose commitments like school, relationship, work and stuff really distanced us but then when we met up, the bond can still be felt.

We ended up @ Don's house for some gambling session. This time without Jon, thinking that we will end up not winning much because Jon's not there to 'give away money'. BlackJack @ first, i started off by being banker and i must say it's a good streak of wins after that. Took turns to be banker and not long after, i'm winning....it's been a long time since i last won...this Chinese New Year, i think i'm feeling lucky...seems like it's a must for me to buy the Chinese New Year Hong Bao TOTO! Mahjong is right after that and after a few rounds, with one round especially, i sweeped lots of chips into that container. Out of the sudden, Mahjong seems so easy to me. I ended up 20+ bucks richer only to spend it all on taxi that very fateful night.

Chinese New Year Day 4

Slept @ 7am and woke up @ 10++am. I was totally restless, but i just don't want to sleep. It's like such a waste to sleep your day off. Hardly can i find such time to do what i didn't have the chance to usually. I went to my cousin house for serious gaming session and it's 5 hours straight of gaming. I'm declared 'Empire Earth' hooked and pro now. I'm still looking to rope in my friends to join in the fun...

So far this four days has been fun and fruitful. I'm still looking to gambling over the next 10 days of Chinese New Year and of course, some more visiting to do, hopefully, collect more Hong Bao and eat more junk food....

Lesson from 'Heartless Friend'

I feel the urge to blog, since right now, i'm waiting for a call and also for someone to online so that i can play the night away..

Not going to blog about how this wonderful CNY has been so far, i'll leave it till a later date. Just feel this sudden urge to rant about how childish some people can be.

To think a person can be so childish, immature and heartless. This is still the very first time i'm seeing such things myself. My view was to not even be bothered by such person, allowing this very person to ruin what's supposed to be a wonderful day, nevertheless, it did created quite a bad start.

I never realise how a person can turn an eye away from what used be such a perfect friendship and single-handedly crushed it into pieces. Thankfully and hopefully, i hope what has happen won't be back to haunt the innocent and well intended. Letting go doesn't seem to be a bad choice afterall at time.

You may have alot of friends, you may have none, but whether who should be your friend or remain your friend lies in your very own decision. I've learnt something from someone and i do dare to say i cherish all my friends, for they were all whom did made an impact in my life either before or even now and no way am i going to turn a blind eye to them at all ever....

Huat Ah

Happy Lunar New Year to everyone. My guard duty certainly has taken a toll on me. I feel so restless. Hopefully, i'll be energized by the time i wake up tml. I'll start feasting on those 'so unhealthy' food, collecting those ang bao ($$$$) and of course gambling (which means more $$$).

Flu Marks The End Of CNY Preparation

Flu flu flu...it's so torturing. I feel like slicing my nose off. It just got worse after i gave my room a big sweep. Didn't realise there's so much junk in my room. I seriously had no idea i kept so many things, ranging from childhood stuff to recent buys. I've decided to throw away some of my childhood stuff. Kind of heartache but then seriously, i had no choice..i'll still bear some great memories. Those small little toys, game cards etc etc..

Now my room look much cleaner, tidier and look more like a 'room'. To think i still have guard duty tomorrow. Sucks big time. Thankfully, i've rented vcds to help me kill those boring time away.

My heart ache. I bought pineapple tarts just now. Oh man, i truly regret not finding time and spending effort in making pineapple tart myself, in the end, i have to buy outside. I have to buy because i've such a huge craving for what i used to dislike so much. However, i managed to bargain and get it a little cheaper but still, it's considered expensive @ 11 bucks for a small bottle. Never mind the price, i shall just enjoy it myself...yummy yum yum...Looking forward to tomorrow reunion dinner as well...

Advanced Reunion Dinner

Dear was sweet enough to wake up darn early in the morning on a weekend morning to accompany me through my tired and lazy morning. Great! Not only that, but also, she went to a steamboat together with me and my friends. What a day...fun i must say.

Gotten some really nice stuff for my cute little hamsters. I am super glad that MiuMiu is really recovering well. I must say, hamster is seriously just like every other human, if not, more difficult than human. They need just as detailed care as human, and if not, more detailed, because they can't talk. You won't know when they are hungry, sick, angry, sad, happy. You'll only know when you spent enough time with them to realise seriously what's happening to them.
Till now, my only regret isn't keeping them as my pet but not being able to spend more time with them which i seriously ought to. Bought some ncie treats to pamper my cute hamsters, i've been trying to get hold of tubes for them, so that they'll have more toys to play with. Bought a big water bottle for them as well. I was hoping to buy a silent wheel for them, so that they wouldn't disturb my dad's sleep, but couldn't find a suitable ones. I'm going to do some major shopping on hammy stuff soon.

Brought Dear to my friend house for some nice, way advanced dinner. A nice gathering. As usual, Dear, being a veggie lover, would concentrate on her favourite veggies. I am just glad she's enjoying it, just as much as i do, along with my friends as well. Afterwhich, we played some indian poker and it was so fun. We were screaming, laughing away loudly and enjoying simply every moment of it. I was even termed a Meanie by Shu Xia. Delon was anti me all because i'm a cheater myself. Haa....how fun was everything. Choon Peng was so afraid of ended up empty handed without anything which in the end, he did ended up with nothing. Mildred gave up playing because she kept losing...lady's luck just not with her. Dear won herself some stuff whereas i ended up just like Choon Peng

Was sorry that Dear had to go off so late but still, hope she does enjoy, along with the Mixed Rice gang as well....not forgetting i'm going to apply a post in this association!

Wonderful Memory - Guard Duty

Steamboat during Guard Duty. How's that for a regimental duty. I swear if we're caught, we will be in deep shit, hot soup or whatever you can name it.

Never in my whole guard duty life, it can be so fun and entertaining. Time flies when you are seriously enjoying every moment of it, even though it's in a shitty place. How i wish the rest of my guard duty can be just like yesterday.

One of my colleagues brought the steamboat cooker, which is able to BBQ as well. Alright, the other was in charge of the food, whereas for me, what i brought was the drinks and rented VCD.

We had steamboat for both lunch and dinner, with fragrant Nasi Lemak as our breakfast proudly brought by Stanley yet again. We started our steamboat lunch promptly @ lunchtime. Being our first time, we totally had no idea how to seriously go about doing it @ the little guard room. Space was a real issue but nevertheless, the hunger for food overcome all problems.

Butter onto the BBq pan and soup into the steamboat cooker. Not long, smoke can be seen. Not as serious. We had a few variety of food, leaving a huge chunk for a later dinner.

Dinner was much more fun. We did everything as per how we did it for lunch, only this time, we put more butter on the BBQ pan, and oh gosh, we got a shock of our lives. Smoke can be seen coming out from the pan and floating out of the window of the guard room. And this time round, the smoke is so thick and it looked like a mist or as though the whole guard room is on fire. We panicked this time, afraid that passerby might think that the guard room was on fire and inform the relevant authorities. Darn, we seriously had no choice but to close the window.

Wrong choice as well. Eating in a misty guard room with smoke around is seriously weird and humid. We decided to do away with the butter eventually and thankfully, it turned out better. After the dinner, we faced another problem, which might get us into deep shit - the whole guard room stink of the smoke. We did everything we can find i swear, mopping the floor, cleaning the window, 'powdering' the floor with baby powder, airing the room by blasting the giant fan, blasting the air conditioner as well. Seriously, it doesn't help much. All we prayed is for everything to be fine when the duty orderly sergerent came down to check on us later.

When he was here, one already went to sleep. Leaving me and another @ risk of being 'F'. Thankfully, he didn't questioned us even he did sense something wrong with the guardroom (i saw his nose moving, sensing some sort of weird smell). This whole chore took us half a day. Memorable experience. I guess it's all those silly and fun things that make the whole day memorable.

Seriously, a guard duty i'll never forget.

NA

Dearie was crazy. I swear she was, well, almost. Went NTUC with her, and guess what, she bought a basket full of Potato Chips, biscuits, tibits and stuff. She gave the reason being CNY is here and there's simply no reason not to have those tibits @ home to munch on. To her, it's a season of EATING and no way is she going to let off those days lightly without filling her stomach with those junk food...

Hor hor...beware Dearie....

PS: Pls drink more water after use....

Boredom in Class....Interesting Scandal

My 'Communication Management' lessons are so boring. Speaking about communicating, it's more of preaching from him and of course not forgetting lecturing, and he REALLY LECTURES! I couldn't stand it, i understand what he was trying to say, i try my very best not to get distracted or bored but then, i failed. Most of the stuff he speaks is quite irrelevant to the module but more towards HIS way of life. It's interesting to see how he view life as, how much experience he has gone through...but if he's some superstar or celebrity, i might be interested, but as his experience so far doesn't really interests me, or rather, not just me alone but majority of the class....yawn...

Speaking about celebrity...oh gosh, Taiwan/Hong Kong celebrities are having such a headache now, and i'm refering to some like Gillian Chung, Edison Chen, Bobo and Cecilia Chung. They must have been in a headache now. There's this youtube video showing in youtube of those girls 'naked' photos, it's censored but still, obscene. I'm not sure whether it's real or fake but whatever it is, they must have been hit hard, especially Gillian.

Once my idol, this is the 2nd time she's facing such news of being caught 'naked'. The first time happened @ Genting when she was performing and changing @ the dressing room whereby she was snapped secretly. It's even reported that she tried to commit suicide just yesterday because of what had happen.

The circle of this industry is so complex. This is the sort of rubbish you will face when you gain a certain level of fame. Nothing comes free....

Watch Gone...

It's official. I lost my watch. A watch that i guess i would have lost somehow someday. Now it's really gone. I simply had no idea it was lost until i was about to leave for work and realise it's not anywhere around my house.

I never thought i can't live without a watch before. Even with your mobile phone around, a watch is the only accessory i would look out for time. In 2 weeks, two watches are gone. One lost, another spoilt. I'm certified 'watchless' now. Leaving only a fossil watch which my friends gave me as birthday present years ago and hell no, i'm not going to lose that watch. Once bitten, twice shy.

I want a watch right now, desperately. I'm scouting for one. Any who happen to read this post can liven up my mood by buying one for me as well...wahaa!

More $$ for the Govt.

Every Driver's Enemy

News reported 16 more ERP gantries island-wide. Purpose: To ease the congested area, curbing the amount of traffic. Result: Drivers ending up poorer than before, congested road no longer congested thanks to ERP, non congested road became congested no thanks to ERP.

It's reported the govt earn millions per month given the amount of vehicles passing that wonderful gigantic gantry. After earning from road tax, COE and all that, they still hit drivers with this additional ERP gantries. Sooner or later, i presume, they will realise that they are not earning enough and perhaps, one ERP gantry every few hundred metres...

The moment you drive out of your house, you will a gantry and by the time you reach home for that very day, you would have pass by tens of ERP gantries.

Singapore isn't the only country facing problems on the road, but Singapore is the only country in the world to come up with this absurd system. To be true, we should really learn from more developed countries like Japan or Germany. The real solution will only be building flyovers. Not only it provide alternatives roads to drivers but also ease the traffic flow. Idea?

The real solution - flyover in Germany

Wonderful Feb

Speaking about good deals, i certaily found myself a good deal online yet again after that Ipod incident. My Valentine day preparation is more or less done up.

I know what i'm making, what i'm buying, where i'm eating...basically how i'm going to spend it with Dear. Sorry Dear i wasn't able to spend it with you on that very day itself but fret and fear not, i'll make it up to you totally on the 16th Feb.

Haven't start on the making but i'm sure it will be done in no time. The 3 in 1 gift has been ALMOST completed. I accidentally let out part of the surprise to Dear when she caught what's inside my bag the other day but still, it's really not what it seems. Trust me..

I regard V.Day as a special occasion because it also marks another milestone in our relationship. Hopefully, Feb will be a great month, not forgetting about CNY as well...
