Phuket Trip

Feeling low. Don't know why. I guess it's a syndrome that ALMOST everbody will suffer from. A syndrome whereby it will only occurs usually after a period of enjoyment, be it short of long. Usually, after a few days for holiday or spending a few days in a high, i'll suffer from this syndrome. Plus the lung function test on Wednesday morning. Obviously the letter my doctor gave me doesn't has any effect on anything, or is it just that stupid Medical Officer making things difficult for me. I don't know..usually when such times, Dear will come to my rescue..but she's sick..sadly..but thankfully, i talked to several people, my brother, my mother and fishball. Hopefully, Wednesday will turn out fine..

Now back to my Phuket trip. Finally, my first time out of Singapore ever since i got enlisted. Ever since my last overseas trip with dear to Genting, i've been looking forward to a 2nd one. This trip has an addition of two person, Donna and his friend, Chloris.

Reached airport super early. By 6 plus in the morning, we're already there. Checked in and there we are, flying to Phuket. Weather was hot, what was more worrying is the closure of those beaches prior to the news report we saw regarding Phuket when we were in Singapore. I mean, what's Phuket without the BEACHES?!?!?!

Had a short tour before finally reaching the hotel. Not as nice as expected in terms of appearance but still, it was good enough for a stay. The sun there was as glaring as ever. Hot but not humid, i would gladly conclude the weather in Phuket would be much more bearable as compared to Singapore's weather.

And now for our first feast!! I've heard so much from people who had been to Phuket telling me how cheap the seafood there was. And true enough, the seafood there is super cheap. Our first feast at a seafood restarant was a good experience. Well, can't expected any grand ambience there, but the food make it up for everything. The juicy prawns, crispy and tender squid, soft and tasty veggies...wooo...simply delicious. Everything was so cheap except for the prawns! The prawns in Phuket cost much more expensive as compared to those prawns in Singapore.

And also, their Macdonald there was different too. They upsize is really UPSIZE! For a person who can eat two Macdonald meals in Singapore could well barely finish off a UPSIZED Macdonald meal in Phuket. Their large cup of drink and big packet of fries is enough to down you.

Had actually wanted to tried food from roadside stall but we pushed it till the very last day, just in case anything happens, we'll be in safe Singapore by then. We did went to the beach! Sunset was beautiful. Sand was fine. Sun was good but dirty water! Didn't achieved the tan we wanted.

I and Don went to Phi Phi Island (they claim that if you never been to Phi Phi island, that means you've never been to Phuket, how true is that, we check it out). We went there with the intention of snorkeling and to make up for the failure to make ourselves tan the day before. Took us near 2 hours before we arrived to our snorkeling destination. My first time snorkeling. Something interesting happen.

Both me and Don had purposely bought a water camera (resistant and water proof) for the snorkeling adventure. I put it in the pocket before we dipped ourselves into the sea. The moment i jumped down, i was told by staff that we had to put our safety vest on. And so, we did. After swimming a distance away, Don asked me where was the camera, it's only then that we realised it's gone from my pocket. We know it's gone for sure. Haiz...to our dismay, we continued the whole snorkeling adventure without the camera. To think that Don still don't believed me when i told him it's lost. His reaction was funny..very funny..

The snorkeling trip was eye opening for me. I see coral, fishes and sea urchins real life. All those creatures that i've been seeing on TV for years had finally appeared just in front of my eyes, just centimeters away.

We had our final seafood feast that night. We ordered more, but to our disppointment. It was as nice we expected. Anyway, there's lots of things in Phukt. There's gay bars, lots of bar and oh ya, Thai Boxing compeition. You could hear vans moving around the road, shouting 'Tonight, tonight! Thai boxing. 9am at XXXX Boxing Stadium. See the Champ of the Champ.' We heard all those everynight. Until even Don could memories all in his head. Haa..

Time came soon when you were having fun. Finally our last day and home we flew back! Bought a bottle of Vodka Pear. The tastiest Vodka i've ever drank. The pear taste was so obivious that you can literally taste it. If anyone of you have got the chance to go to the duty free shop, buy it. You won't regret it.

Finally, i'll let the photos do the talking
