Invasion of Hammy

Before I proceed to be happy about this post, I have to rant, all because of a very selfish and cruel act. In today’s world, I wouldn’t believe anyone who would abandon their pets in the most nonsensical way ever possible. I mean, who is the right mind would abandon their pets all because of Vesak Day, a day whom Buddhist believe is ‘giving life a chance’. If ‘giving life a chance’ would mean abandon your pets, logically, isn’t one killing it instead?

Whatever it is, if I’m ever going to meet the person who abandons those pets, I’ll make sure I give them a good lesson, mark my words.

That aside, back to the happy topic. And so, I found one hamster (Grey coloured winterwhite) after performing a nervous search along the corridor. Perhaps, some would termed it as ‘meant to be’ after a night of the hamsters breaking out from their pathetic box left by some idiots.

Unfortunately, only one was found. The day Ah Bin (the name I gave him to rhyme with my alias that my parents so lovingly gave me) entered into the warmly abode of mine, it was 1 May. Of course, having lost two hamsters painfully few years back, my mum was the happiest to have found this little cutie. Straight away, within hours, my mum came back home with a brand new cage for Ah Bin.

It took Ah bin only mere hours to get used to his (I assume it’s a HE) new home and sure it was all fun for him. He resembles ShooBing (The grey winterwhite who left us about a year plus ago) totally. This of course, remind all of us in the family of the heart-warming ties we had with ShooBing. The only difference is, Ah Bin bites. He’s like performing a ‘Ah Bin Strikes Back’ each time someone attempts to grab him. Nevertheless, we all enjoyed his biting. Which probably explains why he is one hell of a eater.

And so three weeks on, some miracle happened. Another hamster appeared in front of my house one fine morning. This time round, it is a white cutie, BUT, she was looking real frail and weak. Immediately, I relate her to the missing hamster that was supposed to be found three weeks ago. Without any delay, Monoko (her new name) was in the same cage as Ah Bin. Oh boy, wrong decision. Without any second, Ah Bin bites her until you could hear the most painful scream ever let out by a hamster. Monoko seems to be crying out for her life. DAMN! They can’t stay together, I thought. Seems like separation is the way to go.

When I returned home, I had two cages with two hammies inside. One white winterwhite, and one grey winterwhite, exactly like old times. It is as though god is trying to give us back Miu Miu and Shoobing. Naturally, they are all safely under the great care of my mum. Probably, that’s the best present she ever received this year. I’m glad, yet afraid at the same time. Glad because they shall be a great companion for my mum once again like how two other hammies used to be but afraid because if they were to be gone again, it’s a terrible pain for my mother.

But whatever it is, it’s a good fairytale ending for the hamsters because their lives are now safe until the day god decides to bring them to a better place, to join my forever beloved Miu Miu and Shoobing!

You'll Be Ok!

The fact that we are only mortals
We tend to build life with principles
But life is just too unpredictable
Making us realise what's also vunerable

Till We Part...

I held him in my own hands. I realised he is slightly bigger. His breathing still as fast. I can still remember how fondly everything was then i made him our pet, which eventually became my pet. He was one of the three i've picked. His partner, sadly, died one year before him. It brought great amount of grief and sadness to my mother and me.

I still remember how when i first held him in my hands, he was tiny. His eyes could barely open then. He was prominent out of the two, because of his grey colour fur. He was the better pet as well, because he doesn't bite, but he's always bullying Miu Miu in the initial stages of his life, before he was being bullied after that, few months before Miu Miu passed away.

He was fatter in some sense, because of his greediness. Though not as clever (he can never figure his own way home). Now that he's old (more than 2 years, or rather, 26 months old to be exact come next week), the fear is there. I didn't managed to send Miu Miu off well, and i don't want it to happen to ShooBing as well. He seems to be getting weaker day by day. No longer can i see his 'glorious' days whereby he would spinned his wheels, fast and loud, to make himself known in some sense.

He used to bite at strangers. He used to grine his teeth onto the cage grills. He used to run around actively. But now, everything slows down. He still sleep at his favourite spot with his favourite position. Which i'll fondly remember for the rest of my life. His furs began dropping, the concern exists, the fear arrives. Whatever it is, i really hope to spend some time with him, whom did meant something to me, before he left this very world.

Get Well Soon

That early morning was a great surprise for her. Seriously a very unexpected one. She didn't know i was coming. She didn't had any clue at all. I woke up early to whip up a nice meal of breakfast for her, in my mind, i was thinking, it's been a long time i did this and today, i'm just going to make her morning a great one.

Just a simple sandwich but in it are all my hearts, feelings, emotion and many many words...Something she did not know, i actually went up and down the lift, trying my luck. Each time the left door opens at 9th storey, it's wasn't her and i have to go down with those strangers because i'm the one pressing the lift. And up i went again, back to 9th storey to wait for her.

Finally she appeared, and of course shocked. I love to see her smile, that kind of smile whereby i will go 'you going to Bo Gey liao la, smile until like that'. That just made her day and of course, it does makes mine...sometimes, you don't have to be loved to feel loved...you can actually love to feel loved and that's exactly what i'm feeling...

I almost thought i will get disappointed but i didn't. Thankfully. She made it to my house and we spend a hella great time. The midnight Hong Kong show was nice and that did keep us awake till wee hours. Surprised because we hardly spent our late nights not asleep.

Good morning! A great breakfast awaits us. This time round, we managed to wake up and dragged ourselves to breakfast @ Cafe Cartel @ Bukit Panjang Plaza. After that breakfast earlier last month during the Chinese New Year period with Ah Bear and my bro, i told myself i'm so going to go back there and eat the breakfast again. The sausage, the bacon and the frech toast....hmm..so all yummy.

Dinner was on Dear. Went to Billy Bombers @ Cineleisure, after giving up the thought of going to dine @ Ding Tai Feng. I ordered Mixed Grill whereas she ordered the same as before...Fish and Fries....(always the same). On top of that, i tried resisting myself to all those tempting cocktails and desserts before i finally made up my mind to order the Waffle. Simple food item with heavenly taste. Let me jump straight into the dessert part first. Firstly, the ice cream topped's from Ben's and Jerry. Chocolate theraphy they called it. With the hot crispy waffle, topped with the superb ice cream and with the chocolate sauce, plus finalizing everything with sprinkle of ...erm...i think it's milo powder. For chocolate lover like me, only one word to describe it, 'ORGASMIC'.

The Waffle

Back to my main course, i should have ordered the Mixed Grill the other time i had my meal here with my friends. They have dory fish fillet, chicken chop, mashed potato, bacon, egg and sausage on that very plate. Just imagine, that's their so called mixed grill. What's a better deal is that just cost me or rather Dear 19 bucks. Value for $$...whereas she must be grumbling in her heart even though she appeared to be enjoying her fish and fries..Wahaa..

It's 2 hours away from movie - Sky Of Love. She went to Far East and shopped a bit. I should have taken the before (entering Far East) and after (entering Far East) photo. It's totally different. Before she went it, she has the 'i'm so full that i just feel like dying' face and after she came out of that place she has the 'i think i'm the prettiest woman on earth' face. Oh gosh, that is how much 'damage' shopping can do to a girl. I can't imagine come June when are at Bangkok, won't i have to say that infamous phrase of 'you going to Bo Gey liao la, smile until like that'?

At last, movie time. This special movie was so called being recommended by my sister. Read it from her blog. The way she described the movie made me think that this should be a nice movie. And it turns out really really touching. No wonder that poster pasted all over Cineleisure Cathay showed 'a cell phone novel which moved 11 millions to tears'. Seriously, if you were a girl, i bet you would cry. My Dear did. Whole movie throughout, you could hear weepings all over and it's simply a movie to watch. The whole love story was potrayed so well that i could feel the pain, love and almost every emotions as well. a 2 hours movie which is bound to get your heart moved in just 15 mins time.

-Spoilers-
The way the guy go into every classroom to rub away all those words written about her.
The way the guy run out of the restaurant, giving her girl a thought that he doesn't want her anymore given the knowledge that she's pregnant, but in fact, he went out to buy baby products.
The way they chose the ring together and vowed to stay by each other side.
The way the guy said he rather be a sky so that he know where she is every now and then.
The way the guy prayed for her safety and the baby's even though he had to bear with all the cold.
The way he forced himself to chase his loved one away just because he didn't want her to know he's got cancer.
The way he took all his interests on her only.
The way he took all photos only on her and nobody else.
The way he took every efforts to go back to the spot which both of them had promised every year.

Just the thought of it made me want to watch the movie again. Seriously, watch it for those who's interested.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My MiuMiu is acting weird lately. Awhile ago, he's still sick. But he's back to being well again, i thought, but then, i don't know if he still is. He's still scratching himself alot. I'm worried and it really pains me. I can't bear to treat him myself because each time i do, he screams. Even though he bit me lots of time, with times even leaving marks and pain, i wanted to save him. Giving him up is never my thought. But seeing the way he play with Shoobing just now really make me feel relieved. Seriously, i hope the both of them will remain strong and healthy...
