Westlife Gravity Tour

I never believe in POP concerts, since the younger days where Mandarin Pop ruled Singapore briefly before this little city was invaded by international POP with the likes of Britney Spears who took the world by storm. Gradually, we saw the upcoming and rise to stardom of pop boybands such as N Sync, Backstreet Boys and Westlife. We saw how they captured the hearts of the crazy teenage girls and even the teenage boys went crazy and followed them through physical appearance such as hairdo.

I vaguely remembered being part of that craze by purchasing their albums, and memorizing every single song from their albums. No doubt, they were around our ears for a good one decade. And gradually, they silently left us. N Sync were totally gone by the time I passed my teen old days, Backstreet Boys made several appearance thereafter and only Westlife stood still yet silently. They were the ONLY pop band that is still alive since my teenage days and I reckon there is every reason why they still stood far and famous.

Hailed from Ireland, with their deep Irish culture and vocals, they have captured and retained the hearts of us and the Gen Y, and possibly attract new bloods from the Gen Z (I called it). A decade plus of music from Westlife definitely left a deep impression for me. A tip of my fingers and there I go, able to sing some of their really nice and famous songs such as My Love, I Lay My Love On You, Fool Again..etc…It even became some of the flurry love songs which has deep and meaningful lyrics that really makes love feel, really out of the world. And so, because of the mentioned, I’ve decided to watch this very concert, because they are possibly the only pop boyband I’ll ever like in my life.

Needless to say, they did not disappoint. Never mind the embarrassment we had after the girl cutely makes a mistake on the seat number. The wait was rather significant but definitely worth it. A small bet we made before the curtain was skewed towards the girl’s bet. And there we go, watching 4 ever so familiar guys waving at us and started singing. It felt as though I’m back to my younger days. No doubt, it definitely made me feel young.

Love the way they make me feel. Apart from their classics, they went on to sing some songs from their latest album ‘Gravity’ which I’m damn proud and glad I’ve heard umpteen times of that album, especially when they sang ‘Safe’ and ‘I Will Reach You’. That’s not all, when they did covers such as ‘S&M’ from Rihanna and even ‘The Time’ from Black Eyed Peas, which is simply cool stuff. Love their vocals as it still sounds as dynamic yet soothing at the same time.

Nice encore they have to end their concert on the beautifully set stage which has stars sparkling and different visuals all around. Not only that, I’ll never forget how engaging they tried to made their fans and I can greatly feel how much they appreciate us fans. Blame it on them, that I’m their followers on twitter on top of being a loyal fan. And I’m proud to say that I’m a Westlife fan and always be one for as long as they continue to sing…till then….

Universal Studios Singapore, Finally...

It was a rather last minute plan. Previously, there’s tons of reason why we didn’t visit Universal Studios Singapore – the closure of the highlight roller-coaster, the expensively deemed not value for money admission ticket etc. The good thing is, we got the tickets cheap. Real cheap, in fact, it was around half of the usual price. At $30, we happily look forward to this very day.

Unfortunately, the bad thing is the weather. Despite us praying for good weather one week before continuously for several days thereafter, our prayers went unheard. Drizzling rain welcomed the girl’s sleep. Even the girl was so excited that she woke up earlier than agreed to keep check of the weather. It turned out to be a rather disappointment for her.

Nevertheless, we went ahead, praying that this drizzling rain will not evolved into a huge thunderstorm with heavy rain. As if the humid weather caused by the rain under the sunny skies wasn’t turned off enough, we had to brave the hot weather getting wet. The bus, with a ‘R’ (goes straight to Resorts World Sentosa) took quite some time to arrive. Our day definitely did not start well, as much as we wanted it to.

Smooth-sailing as the day passed. Rain stopped, however, dark skies still looms. We ignore the uncertainty and off we go to have our breakfast (everyone needs to replenish before play isn’t it?). It’s only then I realized F&B in RWS is really expensive. I’m trying to compare a mere Toastbox in RWS against the one in neighborhood. Oh well, I should have guess just as much I supposed. By the time we entered into Universal Studios, it was raining again. By then, it’s too late to turn back. We just have to move on. The opening of Madagascar gave us ONE more reason to continue on. And so, we made that our first stop.

Crate Adventure. Our first ride of the day. 70 minutes wait, the first we encountered. Heard that it is the longest we have to queue therefore, it’s quite a relief that eventually it did not took us that long to enjoy our first ride. Nothing much on the first ride. Photo-taking was difficult because of the moving “crates” plus the lack of brightness. However, it did helped kickstart the entire playtime that day. Coincidentally, we chanced upon ZhiQin through Facebook and learnt that both him and Jia Jia is in USS too. We met them for a stunt show later in the day – Underwater World.


It’s quite lame how the ‘stuntman’ gets everything started – by pouring and shooting water through their water-tubes on those who is on the Blue Zone, harshly known as the WET zone. We sitting at the Green Zone, gently known as splash zone didn’t even get ourselves dripped throughout the entire show. Nevertheless, certain scenes of this show were quite an eye-opener to me. By then, the damn headache has already hit my head. Perhaps the ride before which is Revenge of the Mummy, worsened it. The throbbing of the head was heartlessly caused by the stupid weather prior to this anticipated outing. ANGRY! Speaking of Revenge of the Mummy, it’s probably one of our favorite. Imagine a roller-coaster in a dark, not knowing when it’s going to move forward or backward, up or down, with the addition of the visual and audio effect, it definitely add points to the satisfaction. Not forgetting the shortest queue for such exciting ride – a mere 5 minutes. Oh man, I only regret not sitting it twice.

We split way with the other lovebirds and went for our ultimate challenge after visiting the Lost World. We got turned off by the longest queue of 2 hours for the Rapids which WILL get ourselves drenched. We couldn’t figured out where was Cylon and off we went to Human (Battleship Galatica was divided into two, Human and Cylon). The 70 minute wait was not long, considering the amount of anxiety the girl was facing. When it is our turn, we were all ready, or at least, we APPEAR ready. Off her slippers and on our butts onto the seats, we were all ready to kill the ‘Cylons’. The uncertainty was what makes everything thrilling. The highest 14th floor drop at 80++ km/hr was totally breathtaking. It literally took away my soul for a moment. The entire ride, I reckon, lasted less than 5 minutes. I never failed to be thrilled by such rides.

Due to time constraints, we did not go on and try anymore ride. The queues there are definitely time killer. That’s not the main turning off point. What’s worse it I felt as though the whole India is in USS. I can literally see Indians everywhere I go, from rides to queue, from F&B outlets to toilets. Oh gosh, never mind, I shan’t continue before I turned even more racist. Instead, we turned to food. The girl had her large slice of pizza while I had my honey chicken wings. Not bad from a hungry yet ‘having headache’ person point of view, those food feels like medicine. Hollywood street, though simple, looks hell lot of fun. Photo snapping all around of building, with characters such as Joker, Betty Boop etc before we finally got ourselves into Light Camera Action! A show created by Steven Spielberg which spells out how visual and audio visual can turn a something so simple and tangible into an awesome masterpiece that we see on the screens.
Again, we met up with the other two lovebirds and off we went for dinner at Resorts World Sentosa, only to return for the fireworks back in USS again. Dinner @ Mulligans was a normal fare. Nothing much to be expected from the so called Irish cuisine. What’s next was more interesting. The fireworks somewhat differs from the usual ones I see elsewhere in MBS or RWS. A short few minutes of fireworks to conclude the night before we had our slow stroll back to the Carpark where ZhiQin parked the car.

I must say, weather did us proud ultimately, though not at the start and it was a day well spent. It’s been quite some time since we both last had such a wonderful full day date together (Singapore is BORING, so what do you expect). Would go back there again the next time to try the “Cylon” as well as the Rapids Adventure in The Lost World. Till then…

Rice Adventure - Pulau Ubin

Rice Adventure - a name for all outing with MR from now on, having this interesting idea on how each one of us could have been a grain of rice, 'growing up' together. Therefore, I called it an adventure.

We headed for the first rice adventure this year, to Pulau Ubin! It wasn't a long wait (rare for MR given the history of being late), before Smell came and fetch us all. Feeling drunk, he worriedly hands over the steering wheel to Uncle ZhiQin, who was termed Taxi Driver throughout our course to Changi Village for some awesome Nasi Lemak.

While praying for some rain, the other bunch were doing the opposite, in the end, their prayers got heard and off we went to that bumpy boat ride to Pulau Ubin. Took some time before we settled down on our bicycles rental and water.

I remembered the last time I came here, it didn't leave a very good impression on me with mozzies kissing me almost everywhere. That alone is enough to turn me off. But this time round, not only the mozzies did not kiss me, I even saw a wild boar on our way to Chek Jawa. Real fat, how I wish I could have it for dinner (Woops).

We reached Chek Jawa not long after and oh girl, it's beautiful. I was surprised and impressed. Never did I thought such beautiful scenary would exist in Singapore, especially of all places, Pulau Ubin. It was a whole lot fun riding around and playing with each other before we finally call it a day and had a sumptous dinner of seafood, before our tired ride home with ZhiQin snoring away in Smell's car while Mildred is noisly giving directions. Ok, we're all just shagged except for Mildred.

This adventure left me with a good impression and all that sweating and tiring out, made me feel I should really work my body a little. Although very tiring, I feel rather good after a good sweatout, so much so that I proposed to the girl to do such event more often, which she agreed.

Happy 24th Birthday To You!

Sweetness filled the air, covering the unnecessary scare the girl had encounter over at her work. So stressful that i am more than determined to make that very weekend a memorable and wonderful one for her, and put a great pause to the very moment i wished her Happy Birthday, welcoming her to the '24' club. Woo, she's the same age as me! Just as OLD. Hehs!

It was a game of frantic trying to make surprise with the flowers. Daisies with special meaning popped in front of her unexpectedly and she accepted it with grace of shyness, before she treated me to a wholesome meal of yummy food over at DOME @ Paragon. Especially loving the combi platter which totally satisfy my cravings for those yummy fried stuff. Earl grey lychee drink was another item which i give bonus points to.

Bens & Jerry was on the next agenda before we hit the theater for Inception. Chose that over Predators and Blood Pledge. Glad she loved it, not so much for me as i remained insistent that Predator would have been nicer, stubbornly not believing in reviews. As the clock strikes 12, blissful wishes by whisper to her ears and it was a perfect end to the day as i continue to wonder the amazement of how Inception managed to capture the eyes of many.

On her actual birthday, the rain almost ruined the day, but thank god, it managed to wake up its idea and we made our way to the ZOO after having our long awaited Delifrance buffet breakfast. Not a very wide spread but it's good enough to satisfy the dollar spent.

Our first time together to the zoo and off we went behaving like children/tourists, flipping on the map and checking out feeding times and showtimes. Drizzles coolrf the place down, however, our walking around, snapping here and there makes us kind of hot. Definitely, it's feel like a child to learn all the things that we had all lost touch, at the same time, the feeding never fails to be an eye opener each time.

I'm glad the girl suggested the tram and boat ride ticket where we had a wonderful ride on both to end this perfect outing to the zoo. Onward to island creamery, where we spent most of our bus trip in lala land. Blame it on the hectic weekday work then. Not as fantastic and the girl was already crazily laughing away at her paparazzi shots taken back at island creamery.

Brought me to this wonderful Ma Maison, my first time there and the cottage feel restaurant won my heart over. Paella with cheese was nice initially but had a hard time swallowing thereafter, until the girl offered a pat on me. How funny for the birthday girl. Not long before she got her complimentary cheese cake and off she went, blowing her very first birthday candle on her 24th, STILL, never fail to get me to taste every cheese item ever since. Ewww, i still hate cheese. Period.

Next up, a secret surprise planned for her over at my house. Highlight was the blindfolding, followed by a guitar song sang by me, topped with a heart shaped strawberry cake to end her wonderful 24th birthday as she venture into another year into her life.

It's barely 3 months we shared the same age before i hit possibly 1/3 of my life. How good is that? No?

Post Exam

Exams had finally ended dramatically I would say. I felt that I used lesser time, more effort to study more than what is expected of myself. Ultimately, the exam papers eventually caught everyone off guard, me included. I realized how as age catches up with me, my memory is really not as good as it used to be. You know jolly well of it when you looked at the exam question paper and feels glad you studied but do not know what to write, all because your memory fails you, at the time, you needs it the most. Nevertheless, I have already tried my best, so yea, I’ll just wait and see.

It’s freedom now, but it seems like I can’t feel anything. It’s going to be a 2 weeks of short break before the pathetic second NATAS fair hit Suntec City, when the girl will finish her exams (finally!!!) and fly to the city of colors (at least some thought so), where eating and shopping seems to be the only thing to do there. I dread the start of May seriously, just because NATAS has to come and spoils everything, well, as always.

After that, probably it’s the start to all the fun things I can think of – just like last year December – the travelling, cooking, eating, playing…BUT before that, let’s talk about the second concert I’ve been to – MayDay concert!

After I missed out on last year concert because of NATAS Fair (holy crap), I told myself the next time they hit Singapore, I’ll definitely be there. And thank god, it’s not even a year wait before my little wish came true and another reason to be even happier, it’s their first outdoor concert in Singapore. The relocation from The Padang to Singapore National Stadium initially was a worry but eventually, it wasn’t much of a concern.

Such nice timing with the concert, circle lines open its door at last. Nothing special about the circle line station, except the train is shorter, very much the same like the ones with purple line. But the architecture of the station was nice. We reached the stadium way early and yet, it’s already packed with crazy fanatics. Queue was long and we had to sweat and bear with boredom for around an hour plus before we were let into the stadium. Nearly ¾ of the stadium was used and the stage is set, huge stage with walkways extending out to the audiences.

Yet, it was another long wait before the concert officially starts. Lights off, curtains down and it was rock and roll all the way. Oceans of blue (light sticks) flooded the stadium as MayDay made their awesome entrance to the stage with cool costumes and dark glasses on!

The whole concept of the concert was nice, with the integration of the computer graphics, the lightings and of course, not forgetting the fireworks. Oh wait, and the super huge robot. A pity, I’m not familiar with much of what they sang but each and every single song they sang, I truly enjoyed it, with the company of wonderful friends. It’s like a contrast of excitement between my sides, one side super high, screaming till both my ears and the girl’s ears couldn’t take it, the other sid, silently indulging in the song. Funny how both me and Zhi Qin laughed at how we were almost halfway through the concert and barely heard of any familiar songs we knew of MayDay.
3/4 through the concert, we are already jumping on the floor to jumping on the chair and it was climatic. Their playing of guitar impressed me and really got everything started for me.

Eventually, the night ended with one song – a song that I’ve always wanted to hear it live. A little wish came true and I indulged the song with the girl before the concert officially ends. Awesome concert and there’s no wonder why I had my regrets last year.

Two's the Word

It's a week of tedious workload with piling assignments. The thought of it alone is enough to put me off. I'm thankful for the motivation alongside, with the excuse to make myself 'indulge' in studies. Have been exploring and getting hooked on all the impromptus (which i think has been failing us lately), and i'll foresee many more to come.

First up, it was mugging. Always nice to pop surprise and i performed a rush hour to pizza hut. Mugging ended early and it's a super impromptu again - 'Alice in Wonderland'. Heard of it but totally clueless about it, simply because it has never existed in my childhood, much so for 'Charlie and The Chocolate Factory' as well. The only thing i know of this movie is Johnny Depp. Seriously, if nobody tells me Johnny Depp was in that movie, i wouldn't have guess andf regconise him. I'm starting to be even more impressed by his talents, and maybe, i'll become 'crazy' like someone and not miss a single of his movie...

And there we go, Sushi Tei on her first time on Scallop Sashimi, alongside, with the rest and what really make me yearn most is the fried cuttlefish, which happens to be my first time as well. After that, it was Bens and Jerry again, yes, we never fail to satisfy our cravings, and yes, thank god we found back her lappie.

ANGRY! Bugis carrot cake was not opened the following day and i realise we could never figured out their opening days and hours. And then, we started to realise Suntec and Marina Square is even more boring than Orchard which makes me ponder, how will we survive in this pathetic squeezy island in years to come and Singapore wanted to hit 6 million population in few years time.

HUAT ah! Not exactly because her friend was so pro. It's all that disgraceful Jack Neo's fault with his lame movie screened in that beautiful nice house another friend of hers had. Steamboat was yummy and it's heartwarming and fun feeling i had, a good start for a first time i suppose, which i reckon things will be wackier in future.

It's back to mugging and at times, i almost couldn't stand the heat as it really dampens the mood. I wish i could trade my Sunday with a weekday, with funshine on the desktop watching us while we sip on milk tea and mugging crazily with ear piece on one ear each, of course, at the library will air con full blown. It was a sweet 2nd and the ring marks it down beautifully as i ended this week, nice and sweet.

End Of January At Last! *Updated*

It's finally Feburary. Just like that, one month passed. I began noticing the word 'time' ever since this year started because it has much more significance than ever now. January test was over, in just a blink of an eye. I'm glad i passed that milestone. Many more milestones to come of course, but as always, hold that little belief and faith and keep it through. Come what may seriously. No problem is a problem forever. Nevertheless, i ended the month on a good note, which i hope would be the case for the 11 more months to come for this year.

Surprise welcomed me early morning on Saturday. Now i have plenty of junk but super yummy food to fill my always hungry tummy thanks to the girl. In the past, it was funshine. Now it's the many many yummy stuff nicely packed into a box, now that's really sweet. Cool stuff.

On a hot day, with clear blue skies, what's even better than picnic!! Our intention to hit the nice beaches (ok, not that nice afterall) at the soon-to-be-populated Sentosa was fulfilled. The sun, the clear skies, the beach water, the sand, the picnic set, the food we prepared - perfect setting. Another one down on our 1 million things to do list.

Ok, i just got to crap about the entrance fee for car which cost a whopping 7 bucks. To make everything else worse, the parking is another 7 bucks for the first hour. Imagine driving to Sentosa in future, you better had at least 50 bucks inside your cashcard, if not, you might as well not drive at all.

We popped by those hotels in Resorts World. Fantastic indeed. The architecture, unique on its own. The interior, grand as it can really be. Everything else feel likea luxury but it is a very much on the same concept as our neighbour - Genting. The casino caused so much hype but it seems like a 'oh, just another casino' to me, moreover, the 'lose $100 before you lose more' gantry look so unwelcoming to any dumbheads who wants to go through that very gantry. Stupid as it can be i thought, so too.

Hit Dempsey for the first and possibly last time on that white Honda Fit. I'm glad i did anyway. Her first time as well to Ben and Jerry Dempsey, and so, we munched on the 'so heaty' brownie plus two heavily sinful scoop of chocolate ice cream, continuing our streaks on unhealthy diet of recent days. Crap, time i seriously wear my jogging shoes, hit the road and ooze some sweat.

Been mugging at RP yet again, and feels so welcoming back into its arms. The environment, doesn't even make you feel it's like a school, yet it provide a condusive place for studying. Perhaps it's the recollection of my mind (Nov-Dec mugging last year) that i feel it's extra comforting to study over here. I seriously don't mind the travelling and company and i suppose it is that, that makes all the difference.

Finally, they met. It's not a huge thing, yet it feels like it's another milestone reached. It's like what Layhuan said about welcoming into the big family and it really makes everything so blessful, making what's already right even more right than ever before. I just hope that this continues on to the day i presume it's one of the biggest milestone yet. First impression seriously matters and i would want to put on my best to pave the path for future. Steamboat was nice but unfortunately, with the abscence of 'yu sheng', if not, it would have seriously been a perfect reunion dinner. Dudes are all gettng on the lower notes time by time and i feel we are seriously all hitting the age crisis. We all now see more of future than how we used to only see the present. Everyone starts to think of the future, reflect on the past and laugh and talk about it now.

Finally, one more down in the one million to do list. Not sure about her being a successful convert but at the very least, when i know Liverpool's not playing, she's on my side, being the serious Red Devils. Apart from the bloody rude guy who almost spoilt the night, everything else was great. Man Utd seriously deserve to win, with both predictions wrong, we still had our time of the night as the match start at the struck of 12, which perfectly end the January test with both of us, happy with our present.

And before Feburary continues on, i shall move towards the next milestone with a wonderful quote:

'it's very simple to be happy, but it's very difficult to be simple'

let's just work around it, stick on to that little faith plus positiveness and it will all be just fine.

Something to be really happy about. Taiwan trip is on the agenda. Tickets has been booked and confirmed. So for now, it's the planning of itinerary, sourcing for good/cheap hotels and not forgetting the munching on bread and porridge so as to splurge more in Taipei.

Imagine the shopping, the food, the Taiwan babes (Oops, i sense danger), the company and all the fun that comes along with it. It's so near, yet so far. Simply can't wait....

Weekend Fun III

My weekend was great. We went to caught a movie that was well praised by my Staff Sergerant - Definitely Maybe. It's a romance comedy i supposed. Three actress who starred in the show were pretty, especially April i thought. Lots of twists and turns in the movie which i didn't really expect at all. It's some sort of guessing game for the young girl in my opinion.

(Ryan Reynolds stars as Will Hayes, a 30-something Manhattan dad in the midst of a divorce when his 10-year-old daughter, Maya (Abigail Breslin), starts to question him about his life before marriage. Maya wants to know absolutely everything about how her parents met and fell in love. Will's story begins in 1992, as a young, starry-eyed aspiring politician who moves to New York from Wisconsin in order to work on the presidential campaign. For Maya, Will relives his past as an idealistic young man learning the ins and outs of big city politics, and recounts the history of his romantic relationships with three very different women. Will hopelessly attempts a "gentler" version of his story for his daughter and changes the names so Maya has to guess who is the woman her father finally married. Is her mother Will's college sweetheart, the dependable girl next door Emily (Elizabeth Banks)? Is she his longtime best friend and confidante, the apolitical April (Isla Fisher)? Or is she the free-spirited but ambitious journalist Summer (Rachel Weisz)? As Maya puts together the pieces of her dad's romantic puzzle, she begins to understand that love is not so simple or easy. And as Will tells her his tale, Maya helps him to understand that it's definitely never too late to go back...and maybe even possible to find a happy ending.)


There's this touching scene which really holds a deep impression in me. The part whereby the father finally revealed to his daughter on what she used to strongly disbelieve - the happy ending. It's really touching even on how her daughter is bent in helping her dad find his true love as well....Nice show i must say...

After the movie, i've done another of my 'first time'. It's my first time having a buffet as supper. Having skipped dinner on purpose with the intention of trying out the Sakae Sushi Supper Buffet. I'm not a huge fan of Sushi especially.




The coin appeared on the head side and it's Sakae Sushi for us. There were already a queue when the buffet is only going to start in like 5 mins time. Thanks to my Kiasuness, we were the 2nd to enter. I aimed at only eating unagi sushi and ebi because i don't really fancy others much. But the menu tempted me even more. I ended up trying out even more sushi and others side orders.

Dining at Sakae Sushi is a good experience. With the click of the mouse, you can choose what you want to order, click it and they'll deliver it to you. Efficient i must say, but i remember a few of my orders went missing somehow...The whole buffet crippled us. We were made so full that we can't walked straight.....but it was a satisfying meal...

Started on a new game recently, it's called Warriors Orochi. An action fighting game. Its graphics is cool and nice, with special effects each time you execute a move. The storyline allows you to follow the whole game through. Unlock special abilities and characters in order to further complete stages after stages....Cmon Donna, i'm waiting...

At last, i clubbed. I purposely went through the effort to find out through my blog when's the last time i've club. It was 28 Jan 2006. It's been 2 Years 1 Month and 20 Days since i last clubbed. I've been wanting to club since ages ago, and each time i almost stepped into the club, something eventful bound to happen. I prayed nothing happen this time round. I almost couldn't club this time round due to some reasons but still, i managed to.

Met up with Su and Ball. Both me and Ball displayed some magic card tricks to impress Su, but still, he wasn't very impressed. That's the most sickening reaction we could ever get. Worst of all, he keeps questioning us again and again. Like what ball said, never question, never probe, never request or even touch the cards of a magicians.

Reached Zouk early. It was only around 11 plus that we hit the dancefloor after getting ourselves abit high. Two jars which we were supposed to share among 4, i became the one drinking the most just because Su wasn't prepared for his 'First Time'. I ended up being the most 'seh'. Saw a few of my friends there. It feels great to be able to dance with great music and company again.

We call it a day after a few more drinks and hours of dancing. We headed back to my house for some soccer action - Man Utd vs Bolton. Both Ball and Su ended up sleeping, leaving myself to watch the soccer. By the time the match end, it's already 6 in the morning. They left for home shortly after and i immediately fell asleep right after my bath. It's been a long time since i slept so early....it's back................

Dear was away for her friend's birthday party. Whereas for me, i'm having my own fun as well at my friend house. There's a few hours gap and i can't quite imagine it yet again. That was the first time i took a bus for 1 hour and 40++ mins. I took SMRT Bus Service 67, right from Tampines to Choa Chu Kang - from far east to near west. Oh gosh, i slept on the bus throughout only to find my neck aching in pain when i woke up.

Reached CCK damn early, so i decided to roam around lot 1. It was 3 plus whereby i received a message from Shu Xia again. Delayed the meeting for another hour. Oh gosh, i roamed the pathetic shopping centre for 2 hour plus in total before finally seeing someone i regconised @ 5pm.

Gambled right away. Won quite a handful of games and poor ZQ was left recording down the winnings and stuff. And of course, one game in particular got me on top of the winning list. 'Man Tai' and i was on my way to a nice and beautiful winning streak. I'm finding myself better in Mahjong, perhaps due to too much 'junk' from Wahjong, all thanks to Su and Ball of course.

Steamboat finally started after the majestic Mildred and her sister arrived. We were famished by then and all i can see myself doing to gobbling up food like there's no tomorrow. All thanks to Shu Xia. Bravo to her that the Mixed Rice crew get to eat such a nice spread of food, not forgetting her home made dessert as well. I'm even thinking of 'stealing' the recipe from her. Can i have it, Shu Xia...PLS?????

We had some fun playing the Spongebob Monopoly. The fun was just because nobody could get any pineapple built, just because no trade negotiations could be successfully carried out. Mine almost failed all thanks to stingy Mildred. Wahaa....

Weekend Fun II

I'm seriously hooked on Patapon. Not only it's cute, but also the story plot of this game tempts you to keep playing to unveil the next stage of the story plot. It's very interesting and unique by its own kind of game. The rhythm certainly has to be constant and systematic, if not, you can see your patapon lying on the floor, sort of giving up on you...SOOO CUUTTEE!!!! (Don't be jealous Mildred, Ball and Dona) Haa..

At last, i got to meet up with Don for the 2nd time in the week. No news from anyone else and so, we easily got ourselves ended up to watch Man Utd is the FA Cup action last night. Our main intention of playing pool @ Paradiz Centre got us searching for a nice place to fever the football fun and it's no joke, we found this totally cool place. Cool as in literally cool, but it's not long before it became cold. We went to Alps Cafe as it's called, though they do serve alcohol as well, has a bar, dining room and even an Alfresco style area. They have a name for this cafe, they called it the '12 degree celcius bar' whereby the temperature of the room is around there, you can literally feel it, it's cold! Watching soccer @ that place, with comfy seats and spacious area, it has became both me and Don's shortlist for hotspots for soccer matches in future. Certainly, we will watch soccer there again and i can foresee it will be just a few weeks time...

Pool @ Paradiz Centre was alright. Not really fantastic, perhaps due to the fact that i've already lost touch. Don did played well either, also because both of our cue sticks has been lying at home.

Finally, my project was printed out today. The menu was done, although not expectedly nice but still passable. It's a big burden off my shoulder now. Exams in a month's time and i'll be digging in hard soon. Got my 2nd terms exams results on Friday. I passed both papers, that's what i know so far, although details of it hasn't been released officially yet.

Me and silly Dear went to the IT fair today. I wanted to view at some LCD monitors to replace this big old monitor which i'm facing now. Everything is so modern now, LCD monitor actually has intergrated features unlike yet again, the one i'm facing now which only has ON, OFF, MENU, SECLECT. Gosh...but i held my pocket well as i still need to save up for my Genting and Bangkok trip. Can't afford to dig a big hole in my pocket yet. However, PSP consoles was a big sweep over at the fair. It's all totally sold out....

I have to mention what i eat for dinner, because it was sooo nice, even though it's just some simple fare. Tempted by Suntec's Food Republic, and yet couldn't find any seats, we crazily went over to another outlet of Food Republic. Anyway, since the stalls @ Food Republic chains are all almost the same. We headed to Vivocity's Food Republic and got seats within just minutes. We ordered Fried Hokkien Mee, Roti Prata Egg, Soya Bean Milk, Hum Ji Peng and You Tiao...It cost less than 7 bucks per person and it's seriously filling...Sometimes, it's find to buy jus a few food dishes and share, that way, the food seems to taste nicer somehow...

Dramatic Day

Slept more than 8 hours for the first time, thanks to my peaceful guard duty. However, there's so much changes to the rules and regulations in our camp - thanks to DAMNED Mas Selamat. Whatever it is, my NS life is starting to hit a U-turn. Superiors in camp are much stricter than before. We even have to abadon our lovely jockey cap for a smart baret which till now, i have difficult wearing it.

It's already 1.45am. I have to wake up super early tomorrow for the commissioning of UAF. Thanks to Joshua's dad, i'm spared the torture of hacing to wake up early.

Just reached home not long ago from a sneak preview of 10,000BC which i got the tickets free from SAFRA. Dear rejected my special invitation so lucky Don gets the real deal. I skipped class halfway just to watch this movie. A nice movie with its own plot. The mammoth especially impressed me, perhaps it's because i've love mammoths all this way, even to the extent of giving my mum the nickname 'mammoth'. It was a nice experience back home with Don, after chasing after the last train from Habourfront MRT and again, we managed to catch the last train towards Kranji. We thought that train would get us to Choa Chu Kang but at Kranji Mrt, we were informed that the train is terminating and we had to get off.

Shocked, we intended to flag for a cab and there it comes, Service 170 came and we really considered ourselves damn lucky to catch it all the way until it reaches Ten Mile Junction. Phew....we save lots on taking Cab. On the way, we saw lots of Policeman and SAF personnel. Needless to ask, they must be searching for Mas Selamat. Great effort but i think it's really difficult to find a person who has the intention to hide. He's seriously a tough nut to crack.

Earlier today, the incident which happened at Outram Park got everyone speculating how it might relate to Mas Selamat, but i supposed it's not true, which the police has confirmed it anyway. It's really pathetic how that guy would want to stab the other guy and escape. I can't imagine him being shot, not even to mentioned watching him get shot. Those onlookers on the MRT platform must have been stunned...

I'm still searching for the reason of why he stab the other guy. I'm wondering why would a person want to murder / kill another guy? I mean so what if the other guy is killed, does it makes you happier? Is it worth giving up your life in the end....i really don't understand what's on their mind...i guess i don't want to know eventually..

Nice Weekend

Had Swensens breakfast on Saturday @ Park Hotel. I just want to say how much difference there is as compared to the breakfast served @ Cafe Cartel. I can still remember the breakfast in had @ Cafe Cartel. Though service was poor, the food left me a memorable experience. I kept wanting to go back there for breakfast. The more i thought of that Swesens breakfast i had on Saturday, the more i wanted to go back to Cafe Cartel for their more decent breakfast.

I had a all-in-one american breakfast @ Swesens. Priced @ 12 bucks, the only nice food on the plate would perhaps be only the frech toast, other than that, every taste so weird. It's not even worth the money.

At last, i got my Fossil watch working again. While waiting for my watch to get it working again, i went browsing around the shop. I saw sooo many nice watches and i just feel like owning all of them. But one of it would have already cost me my whole month pay, if not, MORE.

Had a great primary school gathering. Haven't met them for a long time, some 4 years, and some, near a decade. Couldn't regconise some of them even and of course, vice versa. Something i'm definitely proud of, i'm no longer the shortest among. I can still remember how i was being teased the shortest when i was in primary school. But right now, not anymore.

Before going this gathering, i had fears that i might not have much to talk with them as i haven't been contacting with them. But the feeling of being able to see your old old friends again really is a nice experience and feeling. We ate, chatted and i suppose it's all about know how has everyone been doing. A little games and some jokes really break all the ice between us.

I do hope i can meet them more often again and hopefully it's a like a half a decade thing for us to have a small little gathering...

Went T3 with Dearie today. Purpose of being there is to view the amazing architecture of it. My love for architecture is still there which i can't believe it myself either. I was amazed at the intensive use of glass, the sleek facade and also the reflective metal panels used as ceiling. Suddenly, both my interest, architecture and tourism come together. It's like the architecture is there for the tourism.

I missed Popeye's Chicken again and I'm SAD, really really sad. Dear said she will bring back to Changi Airport again so that i can finally satisfy by poor mouth and tummy...

Watched L:Changed The World @ last. A very nice movie. At first, my friend was talling my how funny this movie was and i couldn't believe given the plot which i can remember of Death Note 1 & 2. Firstly, the boy is already a funnyboy. Ha...he looks so cute. Next is of course the weird nature of L, not forgetting the crepe van driven by the FBI officer, another dumbball.

Give this movie a rating of 4.5/5. Highly recommended...
