New lessons and 'Do You Know'

Started on my new lesson today - Food and Beverage Management. Just the title alone makes one drool, at least it works for me. Lecturer was so inflexible. Learnt that he's a part time lecturer but holding a super high position with 2 hotels under him, coming up to 3 end of this year.

Learnt a few 'Do You Know?' today which i found it quite interesting.

Do You Know

- Do you know drinking just distilled water alone for a week is going to get you cramps?

- Do you know jackpot in casino is being programmed in a way such that you'll only win once in every few rounds. For example, once in every 40-100 pushes. (That's how casino earns)

- Do you know dealers deals cards accordingly to maths and not skills?

- Do you know every month, 10 F&B outlets opens in Singapore and out of which, 5 will close down by the end of 3 months and up till the end of 6 months, only 2 will continue operating?

- Do you know Breadtalk, Toastbox and Food Republic are under one person, who's so ambitious that he's planning to open as many outlets of those as possible, even till Asia-Pacific region?

- Do you know there's a Macdonald University? It is a university used to train people in managing a franchise and operating a chain etc.

- Do you know there are 400 types of plain water in the world?
